Teens! There’s So Much to Do This Summer @ MAPL!!!!!

The Summer Reading season has commenced and there are lots of activities and cool prizes that can be won throughout the summer. This year’s Summer Reading theme is called Beneath the Surface.   Teen events and activities this summer include a Teen Lock on Friday, July 26 from 6:30pm-10:30pm (Please sign up and fill out a Permission Slip Form if interested).   Permission slips are available in the Teen place and online:

There are also cool and exciting Craft Kits for Teens located in the Children’s Department from June 22nd through August 9th (while supplies last).

The Summer Reading activities this year include a Reading Challenge and Reading Club.  The Reading Challenge (June 22nd through July 31st)  requires teens to complete 7 out of 10 activities which include downloading songs from our database Freegal, completing a word puzzle, watching a movie that was originally a book and other fun activities.  Once you have completed 7 activities, you will win a prize!  The Reading Club (June 22nd through August 9th) requires teens to read their favorite book and get a ticket for ever book returned, read as much or as little as you want!  Tickets are then entered into a weekly raffle!  Sign up at the front desk!

For more information on these activities, please contact the Children’s Department at 732-583-9100.  Have fun this summer @ MAPL!!!!!
